Samsung is bringing stablecoins closer to mainstream consumers, putting Circle’s USDC inside one of the world’s most widely used smartphone wallets. The Samsung Wallet USDC rollout officially went live, opening access across 82 million compatible US Galaxy devices.

The integration lets eligible users buy, hold, send, and receive USDC without installing another crypto application. Transfers run on Solana, while Bastion handles the stablecoin infrastructure and Coinbase safeguards USDC through its Prime Vault.

Meanwhile, Circle is attracting attention from another corner of crypto. CRCL tokenized stock has reached a $378 million market cap across five issuers, making Circle the largest tokenized company by market value. Together, the developments put Circle at the intersection of digital payments and blockchain-based equity markets.

Samsung Wallet Brings USDC Digital Dollars to 82 Million Devices

Samsung’s integration removes several barriers that have traditionally kept stablecoins outside everyday financial applications. Eligible Galaxy users can send USDC to other Samsung Wallet users and compatible external crypto wallets. Samsung charges no transfer fee for these transactions, although other providers may apply their own charges.

The bigger opportunity involves international payments. Samsung Wallet also supports USDC transfers to qualifying bank accounts across more than 60 countries. Recipients can receive funds in their local currencies without needing to operate a crypto wallet themselves.

The service is currently limited to eligible US residents aged 18 or older. New York residents are excluded, while compatible Galaxy devices must run Android 13 or later.

The infrastructure also brings established crypto companies into Samsung’s payment ecosystem. Bastion operates the stablecoin infrastructure, while Coinbase provides sub-custody through Coinbase Prime Vault.

Solana handles the initial live rollout, placing USDC transfers directly on its blockchain. Samsung has also named Sui among its infrastructure partners as the service develops.

The integration could eventually extend beyond transfers. Samsung has indicated plans to explore online and in-store stablecoin payments, alongside expansion into additional markets. This would give USDC another potential distribution channel beyond crypto exchanges and dedicated wallet applications.

CRCL Tokenized Stock Reaches $378 Million Across Five Issuers

Circle’s growing presence in tokenized equities provides another interesting development alongside Samsung’s payment expansion. Castle Labs data sourced from CoinGecko showed that CRCL tokenized stock reached approximately $378 million in combined market value on November 5.

Five platforms accounted for the exposure: bStocks, xStocks, Ondo Global Markets, Reality, and Robinhood.

Circle Tokenized Stock Growth, Data by CoinGecko

The figures put Circle ahead of SpaceX and Alphabet among tokenized companies. SpaceX followed with $322.3 million, while Alphabet reached $245.5 million.

Importantly, these products represent tokenized exposure to Circle Internet Group shares, rather than five separate classes of company stock.

Their structures generally involve underlying shares held through brokers and custodians, with blockchain tokens tracking their value. However, token holders do not automatically receive the same shareholder rights as traditional stockholders.

Tokenized equities attract more attention from crypto investors. Trading availability, redemption arrangements, and investor eligibility can differ significantly between issuers.

Circle Sits Between Stablecoin Payments and Tokenized Markets

The two developments highlight how Circle’s business increasingly touches different parts of financial infrastructure. USDC provides the dollar-denominated asset for digital payments, while tokenized CRCL products give blockchain users exposure to Circle’s publicly traded shares.

Samsung’s involvement could prove particularly important for stablecoin adoption. Rather than asking consumers to understand private keys, blockchain networks, and separate wallet applications, the company is integrating digital dollars into an existing product. This approach could help stablecoins reach people who have never purchased crypto.

Meanwhile, the growing CRCL tokenized stock market demonstrates demand for traditional financial assets through blockchain-based platforms. Circle is benefiting from this trend as both the company behind USDC and a publicly traded technology business.

However, Samsung has not announced support for tokenized equities inside its wallet. Its current integration remains focused on stablecoin functionality.

If Samsung expands USDC payments beyond the United States and introduces additional spending capabilities, Circle could gain another powerful distribution channel for its dollar stablecoin while tokenized equity markets continue developing independently.
